Day 1

Day 1- I attempted to contact sources for a story about a new warehouse to hold engineering equipment in Champaign County. I travelled to the police station with a coworker and wrote down important info from police reports to write up crime blurbs. I also proofread printed pages of the newspaper for any minor errors. I then hopped in the car and rode out to the scene of a fire and learned how to take notes on the emergency vehicles that showed up and talk to the fire fighters about the incident. I helped report on the fire.
